Before the demo: answer these five SaaS buying questions

Published · Updated

A software buyer should not need a sales call to understand whether your product could fit. A useful website answers enough questions to make that call worth booking. Start with the questions your sales team already hears.

1. Is this built for a team like ours?

Name the customer, the problem and the use case. ‘An operations platform’ leaves too much work for the visitor. Explain which workflow improves and who uses it. Include a situation where the product is unsuitable if that helps a buyer qualify themselves.

2. Will it work with what we use?

List verified integrations and distinguish a ready-made connection from an API or custom project. Link to current documentation. If a connection needs additional implementation work, say so. An unqualified integration claim can create the wrong expectation before the first meeting.

3. What does getting started involve?

Describe the steps: discovery, configuration, data preparation, testing and training where applicable. Explain what the customer supplies and what your team handles. Give a timeline only when you can support it, and state the assumptions that affect it.

4. Can we verify the important claims?

Link security statements to approved documentation. Use genuine customer evidence with permission. For UAE prospects, explain any relevant local support or deployment arrangements only if you actually offer them. A local keyword does not establish a local office or capability.

5. What will the decision cost?

If you cannot publish a fixed price, explain the pricing factors: users, usage, implementation, support or contract scope. Show what a demo or consultation will clarify so the visitor knows what happens next.

Turn answers into a useful page

Choose one important use case. Put the answer near the relevant product explanation, then link to detailed documentation and one clear demo route. Ask someone unfamiliar with the product to describe who it helps and what they would do next. Their confusion is a useful editing brief.

Track suitable demo enquiries and the questions still raised on calls. Use that feedback to improve the page. More visits alone do not establish better buyer fit.
